I have been an eLearning Developer with Stanford Hospital & Clinics since October, 2007. We are creating web-based training in Captivate to teach health care professionals how to use Epic - an online electronic medical record system. Over 4000 employees completed job-specific eLearning prior to the initial "go live" on 4/25/08. Read my manager's (informal) recommendation.

LeapFrog PaRTS (Flash movie)

LeapDevStudioLogo With a team at LeapFrog, I transformed instructor-led training into self-paced, web-based modules to teach employees how to use a digital art-routing system. We interviewed subject matter experts and incorporated feedback from end-users viewing prototypes. We recorded our own voices during production, but incorporated professional, in-house voice talent in the final versions. Read my manager's recommendation (PDF).

Online Learning

Technology Expo (web page)

A self-guided tour of selected instructional technologies with hands-on activities, designed for K-12 educators. Topics include Digital Storytelling, E-text, Importing Photos, using Inspiration and DraftBuilder (software) and Online Resources. Originally presented in a workshop format.

Understanding Color Theory (web site)

An interactive learning module describing the color wheel, the complementary RGB and CMYK color systems, and the properties of color: hue, value and saturation. Incorporates hands-on, JAVA-based explorations.

The Aliens Have Landed (web page)

"The aliens have landed and want to colonize the earth. It's your job to convince them that the earth's moon would be a much nicer place for them to settle." I created and taught this 3rd-grade science lesson that requires Internet research to answer questions about the moon. It also addresses languge arts standards and technology skills in an engaging, social learning environment (working in pairs).
